How to Make Not Your Average Tuna Salad
Ingredients:
- Canned Tuna: Begin with the star of the show – look for a high-quality, sustainably sourced tuna. Opt for albacore or yellowfin packed in water for a high protein option.
- Colorful Vegetables: This recipe include tons of veggies like celery, cucumber, green onions, parsley, dill, kalamata olives, and capers!
- Leafy Greens: Choose your favorite salad mix as a base. This can be shredded lettuce, a spring mix, spinach, arugula – your options are endless!
- Easy Dressing: Four ingredients and you have a healthy and delicious dressing full of flavor and healthy fats! All you need is olive oil, lemons, dried mint and dried oregano.

Not Your Average Tuna Salad
Ingredients
Salad Ingredients
- 2 Cups Lettuce or Salad Mix
- 2, 7 oz Cans Albacore Tuna, drained
- 1/4 cup Fresh Dill, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
- 2 Green Onions, thinly sliced
- 1 Persian Cucumber, finely diced
- 2 stalks Celery, finely diced
- 1/4 cup Kalamata Olives, finely sliced
- 2 tbsp Capers
- 4 oz. Non Fat Feta Cheese, crumbled
Dressing Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3 tbsp Lemon Juice, about 1-1.5 lemons
- 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Dried Mint
Instructions
- In a jar or a bowl, whisk together all salad dressing ingredients until well combined.
- Add washed and dried lettuce to a large bowl.
- Add tuna, dill, parsley, green onions, persian cucumber, celery, kalamata olives, capers and feta cheese.
- Pour dressing on top of salad and toss gently until everything is well coated.
- Top with additional feta cheese if desired and enjoy!
